Movie Review

I had the opportunity to watch Invictus on the plane ride home from Japan. Granted, I'm a sucker for a good sports movie, but this movie was truly inspiring! Before seeing this movie, I had never heard the story of Nelson Mandela's mission to unite South Africa through the nation's rugby team. Directed by Clint Eastwood, this movie was powerful, moving, and makes you want to get out there and do good!

Rent it, and tell me what you think!

I liked this movie too! The end got a little long - think they could've shortened it a bit - but overall, yes, a very inspiring movie!

Oh, I loved it! I thought Morgan Freeman was absolutely brilliant in the movie. Made me teary eyed - I'm an absolute sap for good sports movies.

Well, being a 15 year old South African living through that period, it really is inspiring to see how our country got through it ok - and really only because of Nelson Mandela calming things down. We still talk about that world cup victory, it was so impossible, yet we did it. It's a great movie!! Especially if you understand the undercurrents! x
