Happy Labor Day Weekend

Happy Friday and Labor Day weekend! I'm trying to soak up the last of summer weather, going to a friend's wedding tonight and enjoying Seattle's famous music festival - Bumbershoot - later this weekend with friends. As for my offer on the house...still waiting to hear back from the sellers, but I'll be sure to keep you posted on house happenings!

Have a lovely weekend!

Weekend Plans

Looking forward to a low-key weekend. After the past few weeks of GO, GO, GO, it seems simply blissful to have a weekend with a conveniently empty agenda for once. With only one more week until school starts I'm going to soak in and enjoy my free time. Have a good one!

Harry Potter or Bust

Happy weekend my friends! Tonight I am finally headed to see Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince with some of my sorority sisters. In college we all read the series voraciously, devouring each new book as it hit the shelves, which inevitably evolved into a tradition of seeing each new HP movie together.

During those days when we lived together at the sorority house, we used to creep into each others rooms as whisper "Harry Potter is coming," in our best British accent in the days preceding a new release...yes totally dorky I know, but hilarious nonetheless. Now that we no longer live together we've replaced this tradition with emails, text messages, and of course...plenty of faux British accents.

Headed to the lake with a big group of my favorite people this evening. I'm super excited to catch up with friends, relax on the beach, and soak up some sun. Wishing you a lovely weekend!

Fun + Run Weekend

Off to a weekend wedding tonight, then my big half marathon tomorrow morning - eek! I'm a little bit nervous, hoping I can survive the 13.1 miles...seems there will be no champagne drinking for me at the wedding! Have a fabulous beyond fabulous weekend.

Happy Friday

Yet another busy weekend, out with some girls from work, hitting up a Saturday AM graduation and celebratory brunch, ringing in my grandma's birthday with a family party, and hopefully getting a jump-start on report card writing after attending a local strawberry festival with friends. I'm a busy, busy bee.

What are your weekend plans?

It's My Friday

This weekend is going to be HOT, HOT, HOT! Heat waves are hitting Seattle right now. I've lived here since I was in 1st grade and I cannot remember a 91-degree in June...EVER!

I'm taking a personal day tomorrow (yes, this is allowed for teachers, FYI). So far, the plan is to go kayaking and out to a patio lunch with a friend, onto pedicures, and then celebrating 2 friends birthdays at a joint-birthday party. Hopefully getting plenty of sun (and possibly boating in this weekend)...

Congratulations!

I'm so excited for my good friend and sorority sister Carol (of Everyday Delights) - who just got engaged on Saturday. Her fiance Nick coordinated the entire affair, organizing all of his and her friends together to witness and celebrate the surprise proposal. It was so exciting to be able to be there to partake in this momentous occasion. Carol was completely surprised, and we couldn't be happier for this fabulous couple!

Sweet Weekend

My weekend was oh-so-sweet. I had a blast with Lindsay in town, we had girls night out on the town Friday night, and hit up the Pike Place Market Cheese Festival on Saturday. I only wish the weekend was longer so we could continue the good times. Miss you already!

Hooray!

It's Friday, one of my favorite people - my friend Lindsay - is in town for the weekend, so I'm psyched to get out and have some fun! Hope you all have a great one!

Wahoo Weekend

Friday is here, it's been a long week... This weekend, I'm excited to celebrate a friend's birthday with a night o'bowling, attend a local scotch and beer festival, partake in a swinging surprise party, and if nothing else...sleep in on Sunday!

Woohoo!

It's Friday, get excited!

Deep Blue

On our mutual day off during Spring Break, my guy and I decided to be tourists and venture to Pike Place Market and then the Seattle Aquarium. I am simultaneously fascinated and petrified by deep water, or more what lurks within the deep water. While our aquarium excursion lovely, it was nothing quite like this!
Check out this fantastic aquarium! The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan. This aquarium features the Kuroshio Seas, a 7,500-cubic meter tank (1,981,290 gallons of water) featuring an underwater deep of whale sharks and manta rays.

The Weekend Is Here

It's a busy weekend for me! Off to enjoy one of the first games of the season for the Seattle Mariners, visiting the annual tulip festival to take in some Spring blooms, and indulging in yet another luxurious Sunday brunch. Happy Friday!

It's Friday!

Happy Friday! I'm excited for this particular Friday because my boyfriend also has the day off. This is a rare occasion indeed, and since we rarely days off simultaneously, we've got a full day of adventure ahead of us!

This Weekend...

Take some time to smell the roses...Excited for a much lower key weekend, report cards are in and mailed (contented sigh of relief), me and my boy are headed out to a belated birthday dinner and evening at the theater! Very excited! Have a lovely 2 days off!

Busy Busy Bee

This weekend is going to be a busy one...dining out with friends, my boyfriend's official birthday celebration, writing report cards, hopefully getting in at least one good run, and ideally...relaxing (for at least 15 minutes...).

I'm getting more and more excited by the prospect of Spring Break, which is creeping closer by the day, (remember as a teacher I get a week off work, and yes, it's as awesome as it sounds!). Looking forward to taking some time to myself, since it doesn't appear I'll have any leftover this weekend!

Have a great one! Any exciting plans?

First Day of Spring

It's the first day of Spring - the birds are chirping, flowers beginning to bud and bloom, and hibernating souls are beginning to emerge. Today is my parents 27th anniversary, cheers to that!
