Movie Night: Inside Out

Normally, I wait to see animated movies once they've been released to DVD, especially with movies being so spendy these days (anyone remember the $3 matinee??)  However, this new Pixar movie, Inside Out looks like it might be theater-worthy.  I laughed out loud watching this preview!  It comes out Summer 2015.  What do you think?

A Little Saturday Morning Entertainment

How can you not love Justin Timberlake?  Even if you're not officially a fan, he's funny in everything that he does!  Personally, I've always been a fan, even way back when during his *NSYNC days of bad hair and 5-part harmony.

I just stumbled across this recent clip of Justin Timberlake singing a rendition of "Sexy Back" with Jimmy Fallon and a barbershop quartet.  Love it!!
P.S. If you haven't seen Justin Timberlake's latest hosting of SNL on March 9th, I suggest you start there!

Mustache and a Lipstick Kiss

I bought these darling mr. and mrs. signs for the photo booth at our wedding reception, and they just arrived in the mail. Aren't they cute?! My favorite part is the mustache for him and kissy lips for her (that'd be me!). What do you think?

I'm so excited for the big day!!

Bridesmaids

Here's a clip that's good for a laugh on this fabulous Friday.
I'm so looking forward to seeing this movie!

Who Doesn't Love Weddings?

This wedding video is so fun and upbeat, love it! The song fits perfectly, looks like they had a blast dancing the night away!

Librarians do Gaga

I just read about this - librarians from my alma mater, the University of Washington did a librarian-themed spoof to Lady Gaga's Poker Face. It's apparently been viewed a lot of youtube, pretty funny!

Hot Tub Time Machine!

This movie was hilarious! Seriously...it's so ridiculous that it just works! It was even the Critic's Pick in the Washington Post with the subtitle, "don't judge a movie by it's title." So true! If you at all like raunchy humor, swearing, folks from the TV show The Office, and John Cusack, this movie doesn't disappoint!

Holy S*&@

As a product of Catholic schooling, I couldn't resist these birthday cards by dude and chick. Having grown up with the habit of nuns and priests as teachers, this card made me chuckle. Truth be told, nuns rarely wear the traditional habit garb (at least in the greater Seattle area), but I thought my fellow products of Catholic school would appreciate the holiness of these cards...

I Heart You More Than...

This card made me smile immediately. I definitely heart you more than rainbows and unicorns. And while we're at it,throw in sunshine and baby kittens too.

Enjoy!

For your weekend viewing pleasure...I agree with my friend Anna that the ukelele is an highly underrated instrument (and on a side note - this kid is awesome at it remixing Jason Mraz's ballad, "I'm Yours"!)

Stocking Stuffers: The Office

Was it Colonel Mustard, in the Conservatory, with the Candlestick?

Wrong...try Dwight, in the conference room, with the Bobble head doll. Meet The Office Clue! This is absolutely awesome! Clue was one of my favorite board games, and still is I guess if I owned a board. I'm adding this to MY Christmas list!

Piano Stairs

Need some inspiration to take the stairs? Check out this clever installation in Stockholm, Sweden. A subway staircase was cleverly turned into working piano keys! Such a creative idea, this would definitely inspire me to take the stairs versus the escalator!

Burger Anyone?

Spotted...these hunger inspiring hamburger pillows over at Slices of Beauty. What kid would not go crazy for these? Build your own burger while you relax or watch TV, ingenious! What will they think of next? images/freshome

Feel the Burn!

Doesn't this look like fun? Welcome to Sweaty Sundays, an LA dance class where people dance off the previous night’s excesses to a soundtrack of indie rock, techno, and 1980s new wave hits. All the while looking Jane Fonda fabulous in lycra, leg warmers and belted leotards.

One of the regulars even affectionately calls the dance gathering “It’s kind of an American Apparel ad come to life." Once I read about this hot new way to feel the burn, I emailed the article to my sister who lives about 30 minutes from Foresight Studios in the hipster Silver Lake neighborhood. Within minutes I got a "Awesome!" reply with exclamation points...she's already got her leg warmers ready to go!

9-3/4

As an elementary school teacher, I am by default an avid Harry Potter fan. I have read the entire series, and seen every motion picture within a week of its release.

I just discovered that Platform 9-3/4, the magical medium through which Harry and friends travel to Hogwarts really exists in Kings Cross Station in London! Granted, it's obviously just for show, as all the train platforms are organized by whole numbers (not fractions), but regardless, next time I'm in London I am definitely taking a photo opp!

If you have no clue what I am talking about, here's some Harry Potter trivia, enlighten yourself!

Woot!

Love these antique alphabet blocks with a fun, cheer-you-on message. Perfect for that bookshelf you glance back at as you dash out your front door. Carpe Diem! Woot Woot!

It seems that mustache's really are the rage, in every way, shape, and form. What's your favorite 'stache style?

Quite Frank

These cards made me laugh, I've love funny cards for every occasion, and it's always refreshing to get some sarcastic and honesty in a card, just because.

You Smell!

This line of detergents called “Tabula Rossa" seems to be a perfect gift for a sibling or a friend who you can't help but tease. "Tabula Rossa, Latin for “clean slate” is an immediate eye-catcher, as it is eloquently presented, yet is initially insulting until the reverse side of the product is read. It continues to say 'Like a Lemon!...Thanks to us!'"

My middle sister's birthday next week, I'm thinking this might be a hilarious gift to send via mail...I can picture her sarcastic groan upon opening a neatly wrapped package, only to find a collection of products proclaiming "YOU SMELL!"
