Sew and Tell

Last night I took a sewing class on how to make pajama pants. My friend Philly and I are in the process of becoming sewing masters, or at least acquire the skills to successfully use a machine independently. We took the tote bag class back in November, and this is our next step in building our sewing skills. My ultimate goal is to sew my own quilt, but I'm not quite there yet. Oh and one perk of the class, which does give me that extra inspiring push - we're sewing our pant projects on the Project Runway brand sewing machines, pretty cool huh?

I'll keep you posted how they turn out!

Let me state for the record, that the roasted goat cheese is the best food I've had in a long time.

Try it!

Sewing is such a great skill to have. All of the sudden you will start looking at things and think, "I can make that, only better!"

I love sewing...but sadly my machine has been collecting dust in the closet lately. You're inspiring me to pull it out again!

I've made some really fun things with my sewing machine - there are some really simple patterns and tutorials all over the internet for making cute skirts, dresses, and lots of accessories.

Have fun!
