Christmas Wish Lists

In an effort to save money, my husband and I are opting out of gift-giving this holiday season, and asking our families to do the same.  In the long run, we'd rather have our dream house than a new necklace, jacket, pair of shoes...etc. However, a girl can't help but make an online wish list and lust over a few items this holiday season, just for fun, of course...

Sweet Gift

Friday was the last day of school, and with the last day often comes the giving and receiving of tokens of thanks from classroom families. Thank you gifts from students or parents are never necessary nor expected, but always a sweet surprise.

Aren't these the sweetest teacher gifts? I especially love the slogans "thanks for being a great ade to our classroom" for teacher aids and support staff, and "thanks for quenching my thirst for knowledge" for teachers. So cute and clever!

Me and You

I'm loving these "me and you," pencils. Pick your favorite "me and you" pairing and give your sweetie a pencil that represents the two of you. Personally for my foodie fiance and I, I think we'd be either "meat and potatoes," or "eggs and bacon." How fitting. :)

Love Notes

My sister bought me this cute CB2 mini chalkboard as an engagement gift. It's perfect for writing love notes to my fiancee. We've already been using it to write notes back and forth. Especially since we get up at different times in the morning for work, it's a fun way to say "I love you," before breakfast.

Cookies in Bloom

Stumped for what to get your mom for mother's day? Fortunately my mom is easy to please and has an incredible sense of humor, so I might just go with this cookie bouquet, with the especially dorky tag-line "I love you like no udder mudder!" Yes, complete with a herd of cows.

Ba dum bum.

If your mom is a little more traditional, try this one, "If Mothers Were Flowers, I'd Pick You." It definitely makes a statement. And after it's been artfully displayed on the kitchen table for everyone to see, the sugar cookies are literally good enough to eat.
