YES

After spending yesterday celebrating my grandma's 90th birthday, I found myself thinking about time. How quickly it flies, how precious every moment is, and how many memories can be acquired and experienced in 90 years of living. It really is quite amazing if you think about it. One of my silent new years resolutions this year was to say YES to more things. To say YES to more opportunities and YES when people ask me to go somewhere or do something. After just turning 26 and realizing I've been alive a quarter-century-plus, I'm realizing how MUCH I want to accomplish in my life, and saying YES - now more than ever - simply seems like a better choice than making an excuse. That's such a great resolution. I think I will adopt that one for myself, as well.

So true! I should try to say yes more as well. Let's hold each other too it! Happy birthday to your grandma!!

correction: let's hold each other "to" it. I would have to have a spelling error on the blog of a teacher! :)

Yes! I agree. I'm trying to keep myself more open these days - to experiences, ideas, etc.
