A Little Saturday Morning Entertainment

How can you not love Justin Timberlake?  Even if you're not officially a fan, he's funny in everything that he does!  Personally, I've always been a fan, even way back when during his *NSYNC days of bad hair and 5-part harmony.

I just stumbled across this recent clip of Justin Timberlake singing a rendition of "Sexy Back" with Jimmy Fallon and a barbershop quartet.  Love it!!
P.S. If you haven't seen Justin Timberlake's latest hosting of SNL on March 9th, I suggest you start there!

Glam Hair

I've been on a mission to grow out my hair for summer, but this wavy chic bob Rachel McAdams is sporting is making me seriously consider a major chop.
If you made a drastic change to your hair, what would it be?

The New Girl

My new favorite show this season is...The New Girl.
Have you seen it? It is totally random, and Zooey Deschanel is laugh out loud funny - (really, truly - I've caught myself laughing out loud upon many occasions). Her roommates also have very eccentric personalities that perfectly complement her quirkiness. Basically, if you have any any weird habits, enjoy talking in accents, or obsess about anything (as I - and the main character Jess does) - you'll love it!

Oscar Gold

So excited for the victories of Colin Firth and Natalie Portman for best actor and actress. For once I've actually seen and enjoyed the award winning movies (something I admit does not happen often). Colin Firth was so deserving, and his acceptance speech so collected and eloquent. And gotta say, I thought Miss Natalie really rocked the baby bump in a ball gown which does not seem an easy feat. Way to go, or in the words of the ho-hum host Anne Hathaway "Woohoo!"

Who were the big winners in your eyes?

Reasons I Love the Grammys

Discovering new bands like Mumford and Sons.
Awaiting the latest Lady Gaga stunt/wardrobe change.
The appearance of Muppets when you least expect to see them.

Wednesday Pretty

Glam 101 at the Golden Globes. Simple, glamorous, and chic. I think Emma Stone may be the newest "it girl," circa Julia Roberts after Pretty Woman. Anyone else think so? I just watched her in Easy A, which was really entertaining.

Behind the Scenes: Mad Men

Loving these behind-the-scenes photographs from the set of Mad Men via Rolling Stone. Take a stroll through Betty and Don Draper's world for a day; the dashing suits, power lunches, and high-heeled glamour. Would you want to live in their world?

Eat, Pray, Love...TRAVEL

Julia Roberts is Elle's September Cover Girl to promote her new movie, Eat Pray Love. I am so excited for this movie! But I think I'm most excited because I am literally in awe of this story's inspiring adventure of self discovery.

One of the things I love most about traveling is how it helps you expand your horizons and realize how diverse our world is. Traveling is a blessing in so many ways because it opens your eyes to so many different traditions, cultures, and ways of life. I feel that sometimes, we get so caught up in our daily routines, timelines, and in the here and now, that we forget how many amazing places and people there are in the world.

I've always loved traveling to new places, and after my trip to Japan, I feel even more compelled to travel anywhere and everywhere! So out of curiosity I ask, (money aside), what's the next big destination you're dreaming about?

Croissant Lesson

I was feeling under the weather this weekend. Perfect timing, right? 4 days of school left and I catch a cold. Brilliant! Anyway, during my time being sick on the couch, I caught up on my Netflix. I've been on the waitlist for the Meryl Streep/Alec Baldwin movie It's Complicated for a while now, and it finally arrived. The movie was okay, but my favorite part was when Meryl Streep and Steve Martin share a romantic date after hours at her bakery, laughing and enjoying each others company as they make croissants. First of all, the scene was lovely, the setting, the music, etc. etc.

But secondly, croissant-making is quite a cool process! I had no idea! Chocolate croissants (pain au chocolat) may be my all-time favorite pastry and watching the process unfold on the silver screen was enchanting. Makes me want to learn how to make croissants!

New Moon Rising

Who's excited?? Just one more week, can't wait for New Moon!

Dressing Green

Go green like Ginnifer Goodwin! At a recent event she wore a dress made of recycled hospital scrubs. Who knew this unorthodox material could be such an exquisite gown? The best part, this dress was made by students from the Academy of Art students. Way to support budding talent and a good cause!

To Sleeve or Not to Sleeve

To sleeve or not to sleeve - that is the question. According to stylists, Ivanka Trump may be bringing back the sleeved wedding dress. When Miss Trump contacted Vera Wang to design her wedding gown, she requested sleeves to suit her Orthodox ceremony. Wang then channeled icons past who had donned sleeves for their weddings, and modeled Ivanka's gown after Grace Kelly's, invoking the traditional and elegant "lace and royal factor."

I have to say, I kind of like the look. With my friends all buzzing with engagements, dress shopping, and wedding planning, I think in the end "unique," translates to "memorable." Kudos to Ivanka for stepping outside the trend box, who knows she might have even started a trend herself!

Little Hermione

Little Hermione is all grown up! Emma Watson, part of Harry Potter's inner circle at Hogwarts, is looking all grown up and lovely. This Teen Vogue photo shoot proves she no longer fits the part the awkward, big-haired little girl they hired to star in the movie series. Hermione and the gang will be gracing the silver screen in a few short weeks for the 6th book come movie - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Harry Potter is coming...

The Name Game

You may have heard the news...Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick welcomed twin girls via surrogate yesterday...but did you hear the names?

...Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge...

Yes, yes, I realize old-fashioned names are the trend these days, believe me as an elementary school teacher I know, seeing as I have to add a last initial to all of the popular duplicate names (ie. Cole W., Cole G., Cole S., etc. etc.). Apparently Ferris Buehler and Carrie Bradshaw also bought into the fad.

Not my fave...Thoughts?

Pretty in Pink

I want this dress!! Once again, Gossip Girl Blave Lively, looking fabulous as usual in a pink strapless Michael Kors confection at the CFDA awards in New York City. I'd like to raid her closet...

Living Legend

She's glamorous, she's gorgeous, she's got a loving husband, a beautiful family...and she's got an accent. Let's face it, Heidi Klum might just have it all. Featured as the "it" cover girl for the June issue of German Vogue, Heidi Klum flaunts it with some high-fashion photos, and tells the world that even a model at age 36 can have it all.

She Sings?

And another one bites the dust! Yes my friends, it's true. Queen Bee of Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester has tweaked her resume to now read actress and SINGER. Have a listen to her duet with Awesome New Republic. It's very Gossip Girl. What do you think?

New Drew

I've always liked Drew Barrymore. As a kid, I was always a little bit afraid to watch E.T., I did enjoy Drew the actress. Drew is featured in this month's Vanity Fair, promoting her upcoming HBO documentary Grey Gardens opposite Jessica Lange. While I'm not sure I'll be adding that to my DVR, I do enjoy a good Drew movie from time to time, I think my personal fave at the moment is Fever Pitch with Jimmy Fallon.

Brit

I went to the Britney Spears concert last night with some girlfriends...and contrary to what you might think...she was FANTASTIC! I have to say, it was everything I wanted it to be and MORE! Her show had multiple acts, truly organized like a Circus (the tour's theme). We sang our hearts out and danced around like we were 13 again!
