Green Thumb

I'm so proud of my newly acquired green thumb. In the past I haven't had great success with plants thriving. Yet since my new house boasts several window boxes I've become a gardening guru - okay...well maybe not a guru, but I'm working on it! So far, I've planted poppies, sedums, a few succulent varieties, and herbs: thyme, oregano, rosemary, and sage. I was so proud of my window boxes I even made my best friends go outside and thoroughly admire and appreciate my hard work (they were not amused).

Are you into gardening? What are your favorite plants: I'm a newbie so any recommendations are helpful and encouraged!

Yay! Good luck. I'm a terrible gardener, but I've managed to keep my little herb garden (mostly) alive for over a year now. I love it.

I always try to get into it by helping my mother but I'm just not a natural... I wish I were, it's so relaxing. I'm just afraid I'll kill everything!

Ooh! Those are lovely boxes!! I'm so jealous--we're not even close to planting time around here. Sending you big wishes for a fabulous growing season! By the way--I took your suggestion and read "Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet." Loooved it! I'm reviewing it on my blog tomorrow! THANKS!!!

Your window boxes look so beautiful! I too am going to venture into gardening this summer (we still have snow). I just bought a house last fall and we have a large yard with lots of garden space. My goal is to have a food garden with lots of fresh, yummy veggies and fruits. I don't have any tips, but I did buy a book on organic kitchen gardens.
