The New Ketchup

Have you seen the new ketchup?? After 40 years, Heinz has revamped the ketchup packet. Pretty impressive if I do say so myself. The new packaging is multi-faceted; suitable not only for squeezing but for dipping as well. Bring on the french fries!images/dieline

Happy Friday

Happy Friday my lovelies, I'm off "mom" duty from last week and ready to thoroughly enjoy my weekend. Not too many official plans set in stone, aside from an exercise class + brunch with girlfriends, but I'm sort of happy for the lack of plans and the beauty of flexibility.

Most important - 1 week + 1 day until Mexico (giddy dance to follow!!!) Can't wait!

If I Went To...Sussex

If I went to East Sussex...I'd want to stay here! I've only been to England once - and that was London proper. If I ever venture back to Great Britain, I'd like to explore beyond the outskirts of London town and enjoy the lovely lush countryside.I was drawn to this little abode by it's welcoming brick exterior and pleasantly unruly gardens, bursting with green. The interior looks cozy as well, I love the staircase detailing, red and blue tiled floor, the warm yellow paint, and of course the clawfoot tub! Sign me up!

The Return

It's been 9 long months but the beginning of the end finally arrived. LOST, the final season. Dun Dun DUN!

My friends and I've made a tradition of gathering together to watch. Last night we celebrated chips, guacamole, and other goods pasted with Dharma food labels, played LOST bingo which was pretty hilarious, I highly recommend you try. You'll find yourself rooting for "cry Jack, CRY!" or "Sawyer, take off your shirt," or "John Locke, rub your bald head!!!"

If you're not a LOST fan, there is no way you can possibly understand the obsession. If you are, I'm curious what you thought of last night's premier...Supposedly all our questions will be answered, but it definitely did not feel that way last night, as I walked away with more questions...(sigh). Can't wait for next week!

Chair Personality

I thought these were adorable, especially as an owner of hardwood floors - Chair Socks! A clever, creative way to dress up your furniture and resist scratching the floor. My fave is the argyle pattern. My chairs would be so chic!

Holy S*&@

As a product of Catholic schooling, I couldn't resist these birthday cards by dude and chick. Having grown up with the habit of nuns and priests as teachers, this card made me chuckle. Truth be told, nuns rarely wear the traditional habit garb (at least in the greater Seattle area), but I thought my fellow products of Catholic school would appreciate the holiness of these cards...

Groundhog Girl Power

Happy Groundhog Day everyone! While you may not celebrate this holiday much more than acknowledging it on a calendar, we do have special "Groundhog Day" activities in the elementary school world.

Thought I'd recommend a Groundhog Day read - an especially fabulous one as it promotes girl power (quick synopsis: historically the groundhog has been a boy, Punxsutawney Phil, that is until a clever and insightful Punxsutawney Phyllis came along...)image/amazon
