OK, granted it's not quite the original we grew up with, but the season premiere of the new 90210 debuted last night. It appears there are some definite copycat roles from our the show of our favorite zip code. Leading lady Annie (the principal's daughter) is torn between surfer Ethan (oddly reminiscent of original heartthrob Dylan McKay) and rich, pretty boy Ty (whose got the bank account and charm of Steve Sanders)...
There is also the return of some siblings - Erin Taylor (younger half-sister of Kelly & David) and Hannah Zuckerman (daughter of ANDrea) are now in high school, go figure. Where did the time go?? And of course, the return of 90210 alums Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth, reprising their roles of Brenda and Kelly. Kelly is now the guidance counselor at West Beverly, and Brenda (apparently still pursuing that acting career in London) is the guest director for the HS musical. Classic!
