To spice up an otherwise ordinary November weekend, my friend Erin hosted 5 of us for a Friends sleepover! Erin's husband is a pilot in the air force, and they recently relocated to a house just off of the air force base, about an hour outside of Seattle. It was the perfect opportunity to have some quality girl time, as well as see her new digs.
We made mac 'n cheese, drank cider and white wine, and watched our favorite episodes. Some of our faves included - Pivot, The Lightning Round, Football Thanksgiving, Ross's Tanning Fiasco, The Apothecary Table, and The Leather Pants. Good times!
What a classic show. Funny that you should post something about Friends. I was just watching the movie Singles this past weekend. Set in Seattle in 1992... you know the one. Well after not having seen it for many years I fell in love with it all over again. Did a little digging afterwards and found out that Friends was based on the movie Singles. Fun bit of trivia. :-)
ReplyDeleteI totally love watching Friends re-runs and Ross' Tanning Fiasco was so funny..hahahha
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun,sweetie
Happy Monday
What a great idea!! "She HATES pottery barn?!". I own every season of Friends and always manage to quote it on a regular basis. I love finding fellow Friends lovers!

ReplyDeleteI cannot stress enough how Friends has always been there in my life, especially in Korea and Japan when I feel so lonely and homesick...

thanks for the party idea. this is a great idea for a girls' night in.
It is part of my winding-down routine after I get off the night shift. I lay in bed, and watch an episode or two -- TJ doesn't quite understand my obsession with FRIENDS :)
ReplyDeletei STILL tivo friends and watch late at night. never really gets old.
ReplyDeleteI love Friends so much, reading this makes me want to watch them again! Your slumber party sounds like the best!
ReplyDeleteEvery year on the first rain, my husband and I have a "friends weekend" where we stay in our jammies and watch our favorite episodes. We have every season on DVD!
ReplyDeleteMost of the episodes you mentioned are some of my favorites too! Pivot and The Lightning Round remind me so much of my late brother. My nickname for my brother was Ross because some of his mannerisms micmicked Ross'.
ReplyDeleteThe tanning fiasco was hilarious but my all-time favorite episode is the one with the leather pants.
