Holiday card season is upon us, and oh how I do love a good Christmas card! My parents always sent Christmas cards out by the dozens, which in turn meant we received a bounty of them ourselves. I fondly emember stalking the mailbox with my sisters, pouring over the new cards, the shining smiles, the gold embossed into the paper, arranging our new cards and adding them to our artful display in our kitchen.
For many years, my mom handmade all of our Christmas cards, which I appreciate now more than ever as an adult, being able to now fully recognize the amount of time and effort she invested into this favorite tradition. Nowadays, the templates available online are light years ahead of the options available when we were kids. Again, I'm turning to good ol' dependable Tiny Prints for our first holiday card as a family of three this year, whose printed cards always turn out polished and classy (also because they frequently offer sweet discount codes!).
Some of my favorites include...
{Christmas caroling}
{Bold and bright}
{Simple and sweet}
{Arrows and snowflakes}
Are you a Christmas/holiday card giver?
It's become one of my favorite traditions as well. My boys love getting the mail every day to see what cards we got! I usually go with Minted, but I went with Tiny Prints this year too. Beautiful and easy!
ReplyDeleteI love Holiday cards as they are so special and heartfelt:) Btw: Hope you got my email yesterday. You won our Edor jewelry giveaway: http://diana212m.blogspot.com/2013/12/giveaway-winners.html Huge congrats! Please send me an email to: diana@expressoblog.onmicrosoft.com Thanks, lovely and have a great morning. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat great picks! I just got mine out in the mail yesterday. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I love all of these. We decided not to do any this year since it was too hard to send from abroad. Next year! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the top one! I love sending and receiving Christmas cards, and displaying them as Christmas decorations. My grandparents always had the back of their door filled with greetings from friends and family, and I loved looking through them all.
ReplyDeleteI got mine the other day -- I ordered the bulk through Minted this year. Their Black Friday/Thanksgiving deal codes were slightly better than Tiny Prints, who we usually go through...the nice thing is that I left a project in my Tiny Prints cart -- they sent me a $30 off coupon to finish my order, so I got a small order of cards from TP too!
ReplyDeleteI hope I get your Christmas card soon!
ReplyDeleteThat first card is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness! i fondly remember the urban family christmas cards and waiting with great anticipation to see which family photo would be shared that year :) guarantee you that my mom has them all saved somewhere! and on a side note: i love tiny prints, too -- we used them this year for our first "family of 4" christmas card. xo
ReplyDeleteThese cards are awesome! My favorite are the first two :)
ReplyDeleteI love giving these cards! I have been sending photos of my daughters for over 30 years and Thank goodness for Tiny Prints-they make me look like a pro!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the second one!
ReplyDeleteI'm all about the 2nd to last with the car and the tree on top. Of course you don't get the picture with the card, but I think it's cool! Make sure to post yours when you decide. ( :
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! Love the tradition.
