Too Bright or Not Too Bright

I need some fashion advice, so I'm putting this question out to the blog.  I recently purchased these Nike Free tennis shoes on sale in this vibrant blue/orange combo, but I'm concerned they're a little too bright.    I guess I'm not used to wearing neon on my feet!  My husband claims this is the trend (at least among his CrossFit buddies).  Thoughts?

What's your opinion?  Keep or return?  I need some help!

  1. I like bright sneakers... generally mine (and my husband's) are grey based with pops of bright color. Mine are grey with bright watermelon/coral and some blue and H's are grey and neon green and grey and neon orange.

    I like the blue!

  2. I'm also a fan of bright sneakers! Mine are the same are Erin's I believe - grey with bright pink. I say keep them!

  5. Keep 'em! It definitely is the trend, and now I feel like my shoes are too boring. I'm craving a turquoise or hot pink pair. :-) Enjoy!

  7. I have neon pink nikes and I love them. I usually wear black and grey workout clothes, so they make me feel like I have a personality ;)

  13. Hi,
Mine are shocking pink and look good on my feet. I think bright color doesn't matter. Maybe it will boost your mood to do some work out :)

  15. Keep in mind that orange and blue are opposite the color wheel and compliment each other very well. They are and have been my favorite contrasting colors for as long as I can remember. Brooks Brothers have the perfect orange/blue tennis shoe but unfortunately that particular style is not available in my size. I am to the point of contacting every shoes designer and inquiring about a custom design tennis shoe with these two colors. This is how preoccupied I am on my hunt for the perfect tennis shoe with my favorite colors!
You should absolutely keep yours and don't be surprised by the compliments you should receive!!!
