Well, I couldn't resist cooking up one of the fall eats I bookmarked right away! Dinner last night was butternut squash mushroom tart with gruyere. The recipe claims the total time prep/cook time to be 30 minutes, which is a total lie! This recipe took approximately 1 hour (if not longer), but the results were well worth the invested effort. The gruyere was a perfect compliment to the flavors of butternut squash, pancetta, and shiitake mushrooms. Complete with a blue cheese salad, a bottle of red wine, and we had ourselves a delicious Sunday night dinner.

That sounds delicious! (And I usually have to add about 45 minutes to what they claim the total time is!)
ReplyDeleteI feel like it always takes me longer than the time recipes give, but that's mostly just because I'm not very good at cooking, ha. This looks yummy! :)

ReplyDeleteI hate it when recipes say one thing and reality is another thing. Looks delicious though.
ReplyDeleteThat looks absolutely delish! I hope your week is going well.
ReplyDeleteThis is really worth reading, it has too much details in it and yet it is so simple to understand.
