What are your thoughts on confetti? I know rice is taboo, but there are plenty of other viable options; rose petals, paper squares, bubbles? These pictures make me want to have confetti just so I can capture that first moment as husband and wife amid a shower of celebration!
Update: Thanks for the idea of sparklers! So clever!!

Confetti can get a bit messy, but I think rose petals or bubbles are lovely. You'd probably get more participation from people throwing confetti or rose petals though. Sometimes people (like me) have a hard time blowing bubbles and cheering at the same time.
ReplyDeleteit is just gorgeous. we had petals, which didn't show up much in photos. then for the send off we had sparklers, which were fun (but a wee scary. drinks + fire = uuuummmm....).
ReplyDeleteI love confetti and rose petalas. My friend had a wedding last summer and we all used confetti and the photos looked amazing! You so should go for it. Happy Tuesday, darling

I love the idea of having some sort of celebration at the end. We did bubbles, but confetti, rose petals, etc. are so beautiful. I just didn't want to pick everything up!
ReplyDeleteI love these photos! We went with bubbles, but I think flower petals are lovely too.

I think that visually confetti packs the most punch but it is a big mess. Plus it depends at what point it is being thrown. Our church would not allow it so we did sparklers at the end of the reception (there were no alcohol related accidents!).
ReplyDeleteI like bubbles too. Sorry- I'm no help whatsoever!
I love rose petals, I think they add so much color and obviously smell so delicious! I also think sparklers are fun as long as there are enough matches to light them up so everyone is going at once!
ReplyDeleteDo Sparklers!
ReplyDeleteLove confetti...always have because they can immediately transform the moment into a joyous and wonderful time. Sparklers are good too.
