I've always been a fan of the real Christmas tree. The lovely fresh piney scent needles, somehow it just looks more like Christmas to me. But, to save time and money, I went with the faux tree last year. But I'm loving this idea for a faux Christmas tree-stand - using an actual stump! Best of both worlds right?

I love the smell of pine as well!! Hope you have a great weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteWe always get a real tree, even if we can't really afford it. It just doesn't feel like Christmas without one!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Though I think I'll always be partial to a real tree. Although - the plus side of a fake one, you can keep it longer!
ReplyDeletei love this. SO MUCH. seriously.
ReplyDeleteHaven't given any thought to the tree yet but when I do it will be a real one. (I'll just conveniently forget about all of those dropping pine needles).
ReplyDeletethat is really actually so cool! i love the idea. way better than that weird stand thing :)
ReplyDeletei think that dish with the skewers that you asked about in your comment is the caprece salad..but way fancied up i think, haha!
I would looove to get a real tree. but i have been told that the smell can be a little over powering in a tiny condo. i love this tree base idea though! how clever.
ReplyDeleteI do love the smell of fresh pine too but I hate the needles. Great idea!
