I received this brand spanking new, shiny red crockpot as a housewarming gift back in October, and I hate to admit it but I've only used the thing once (gasp). Yes, yes...my crockpot has been gathering dust on my kitchen shelf ever since, and I think it's time I revive the crockpot as part of my dinner routine.
The problem: I don't know where to start. Anyone with a great go-to crockpot recipe or fave dish please send them my way!
I LOVE my crock pot! My go-to recipes are this chicken cassoulet:

and these chili chicken tacos:

Both are amazing! Good luck!
This probably isn't great but you can always make a stew!
ReplyDeleteI haven't used mine either, it's still in the box and I've had it for 3 years.
I just make it stove top. I think it's mostly because I forget it's there.
Maybe this Fall I'll make a point of using it at least once!
I make the best cafe rio pork in mine...have you ever had cafe rio? It is super easy and only takes 4 ingredients. Let me know if you want it.
ReplyDeleteoh, i'm jealous!! i want a crockpot too!!
ReplyDeleteLove my crockpot. Try crockpot365.blogspot.com. Tons of great recipes! I love making ribs in mine!
ReplyDeleteThe crockpot is the greatest invention ever. I prep everything the evening before, flip the switch when I leave the house in the morning and when I get home from school with the kids late in the afternoon, dinner's just about ready and I've got time to do something fun with them before we all sit down.
ReplyDeleteI have a great cookbook, but can't think of the name right now. When I do, I'll let you know!
My crockpot sat in its box for well over a year before I got it out. Now I use it at least once a week!
It’s very pretty. Like the colour!
ReplyDeleteI usually use this website when I am cooking:

It is really good and they have many one pot recipes!
Kisses and I hope you will find something great there!
I love crock-pots. I have a super-easy recipe: 8 chicken thighs (or more), one can of coconut milk, 4 tbsps of Madras curry paste, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, and 1/4 cup of fish sauce. Five hours on high or eight hours on low. Serve over rice!
