Fave Flaves

I come from a baking household. My mom is the Baking Queen, always whipping up cookies, brownies, 7-layer bars, for no reason at all, simply because it's...Tuesday. Having grown up on baked goods, there are several sweet treats I'm predisposed to LOVE, certain flavors I absolutely will devour upon eye contact, and others upon which I will always pass.

For example, I love anything chocolate, the darker the better; carrot cake; coconut, and of course, perhaps my all-time favorite flavor - banana - I love anything banana! Yes, I realize I might be alone in thinking this, but banana bread, cake, muffins - you name it, is just heavenly to me.

Which is why my baking goal for the week is to try out these - banana cupcakes...YUM! What are your fave flavors?

    I also come from a baking background- we used to bake all the time with my mom! And I still do :)

    Yum! My mom and I are both dark chocolate addicts. But I also like anything that is fruity (cobblers, berry cakes...) and coconut. And pumpkin in the fall/winter!

    I think coconut and chocolate are my biggest vices, but these banana cupcakes sound yummy!

    Those cupcakes look delicious-no worries, I'm a huge fan of anything banana as well :) My Mom and I loved to bake all the time when I was growing up (and we still do) and our favorite was chocolate ganache praline cake-so decadent and delicious!

    What a lovely blog ~ you know my mom too was terrific @ baking. Not so good for limiting the sugar but non the less heavenly. She would make a killer red velvet cake, Whidbey Island Apple Cake, & Rhubarb cake to die for. Man, now I'm really hungry...

    I LOVE all things banana. I'm going to have to try that banana cupcake recipe as well! (I know it's not a baked good, but banana milkshakes are heaven!)

    I love cupcakes! I had a tier at my wedding in lieu of a cake. The most popular flavors were red velvet and key lime pie - SO good!

    I LOVE everything banana too!! The weird thing, though, is that I don't love actual bananas. I think it might have to do with texture. You should try this banana fro-yo:
