Teacher layoffs are this week...I'm getting really nervous, seeing as in this economic crisis, education budget cuts are pretty substantial... Even those seemingly secure are not really feeling all that secure these days. I'm trying to be optimistic, hoping I get dealt a good hand (and not a pink slip)... The best of luck! I agree with Penney... teaching shouldn't be a career that gets cut backs. After all, we still have the same number of kids. It only results in bigger classes, less individual attention... etc etc etc.
